“YEREVAN: A VIEW FROM THE XXI CENTURY”

At the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the RA and the Museum of History of Yerevan, with the assistance of the organizations “Tetraconch” and “Pan Armenian Photo” a photo exhibition “Yerevan: a view from the XXI century” was opened at the metro station Republic Square on September 21. The exhibition includes photographs of the late 19th and early 20th century - the streets, public, administrative and residential buildings. The photographs have captured flavor of the city, typical to the period, a special place is given to Tamanyan Yerevan.

The exhibition will be open until October 21 of this year at subway stations Republic Square, Friendship, Youth, Commander Andranik and G. Nzhdeh. Photo exhibition “Yerevan: a view from the XXI century” was organized in the framework of the “European Heritage Days”, which is held every year in the 50 European countries that joined the European Cultural Convention (1954). In 2013, the events began in Armenia on August 31. In the framework of the program more than 200 events in 60 cultural centers have already been implemented.
