INTERDEPARTMENT BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT HAS STARTED AT ASUE

Interdepartment Basketball  tournament  has  started  at ASUE  today  by the  initiative  of  the  Chair  of  Physical Training, First Aid and Civil Defense . Boys’  teams  will compete  today  and  tomorrow,  the girls’ ones on March 4-7.
ASUE  Rector  Koryun Atoyan,  Vice-Rectors Paruyr Qalantaryan, Mihrdat  Harutyunyan, Mikhail  Karapetyan,  Deans, representatives  of  Faculty staff  were  present  at  the  solemn opening ceremony.  

The  Rector  Koryun Atoyan  welcomed  the sportsmen,  coaches, fans  and  wished sport success.  He  assured  that the  Management  of  the  University  will  support  physical training  to  be put on high grounds  and  sport  should  be developed.  “We  highlight the  role  of  physical training  and  sport  at our University and I wish to assure  that we’ll  support sport to be developed”, said  the  Head  of  the  University.
Simon Hakobyan thanked  the  Rector  of  the  University, Trade  Union,  Student Council,  all  Deans,  lecturers of  the  Chair  of  Physical Training, First Aid and Civil Defense  then  wished the  teams  nice game, fair competition and victory  of  best  ones. 

The  start was given  after  the  RA State Flag was  raised. The teams  of  the  Departments  of  Computer Science and Statistics, Regulation of Economy and International Economic Rеlations  started  the  competition.  The  teams  of  the  Departments  of Accounting  and  Audit/Management, then Finance/ Marketing and Business Management  will  play  today.
The  tournoment  will  be  continued  tomorrow, on February 27.
