LANGUAGE IS THE MAIN VALUE AND PLEDGE OF THE NATION: MARY ZAQARYAN

The  Head of  the  Chair  of  Armenian and  Russian Languages,  Doctor  of Philological Sciences, Professor  Mary  Zaqaryan  participated  in  conference  devoted to Mother Language Day  entitled  “Problems of Modern Language Policy”  on February 21,  which  was  organized by  the  RA Ministry of  Diaspora  and  the  RA National Academy of Sciences’ language  institute  after H. Acharyan.
Mary  Zaqaryan presented a report entitled “Language as a Factor of the Modernization of Ethnic Identity”.
According to the  Professor’s conviction  language is  the main  value  and  pledge  of  the  nation’s  secure existence in terms of challenges  directed to national identity.
