THE REPRESENTATIVES OF ASUE TOOK PART IN A CONFERENCE ORGANIZED BY BRITISH COUNCIL
British Council has organized a conference “Recognize the world in English” in “Erebuni Plaza” business center on February 2, which was attended by about 100 specialists of English, the Heads of education centers, lecturers and teachers.
ASUE International Relations Division informs that the Vice-Rector of ASUE Science and International Relations G. vardanyan, the Head of ASUE International Relations Division V. Ghukasyan, senior specialist in ASUE International Relations Division A. Hakobyan, lecturers of the Chair of Foreign Languages at ASUE took part in the conference.
Ambassador of GB in Armenia Jonathan Eyvs highlighted the importance of the event, mentioning that the Vice-Rectors of Armenian State University of Economics, Armenian State Pedagogical University and Russian-Armenian Slavonic University were present.
The Head of English language’s programs of British Council in Uzbekistan
Natalia Tsarikova mentioned that two state universities in Armenia: Armenian State Pedagogical University and Armenian State University of Economics cooperated with Armenian branch of British Council. Lecturers of two universities have taken part in preparation courses of language test exams suggested by British Council.
According to British Council’s press release the goal of the Conference is to unite specialists of English language to discuss the advantages of language proficiency assessment within framework of European System, the opportunities of using that system in Armenia, as well as to present British Council’s courses directed to improvement of teachers, teaching materials and international exams.
