TRAININGS: AN OPPORTUNITY OF EXPENSION OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENC

7  students  of  the  1st  course  Master’s  program,  Environmental  Economics  specialty,  took  part  in a  training  of  “Food balances  as  a  tool  of  policy analysis and decision-making”  heading  by the  invitation of  Gagik  Ananyan,  a  member  of  the  RA  State Council on Statistics,  from the  30th  of  October  to  the  2nd  of  November , which  was  organized  by the  World Food Organization  and  the  RA  State Council on Statistics  for  the  first  time  in Armenia.

The  participants  of  the  trainings  came  to the  University  with participation certificates  yesterday  and  expressed their impressions  to  Suren  Gevorgyan,  the  Head of  the  Chair  of  Environmental  Economics,  Doctor  of  Economics, Professor,  the  lecturers  of the  Chair  and  ASUE  Media  and  Public Relations  Division.

The  participants  said  that the  trainings   were  effective,  practical, full  of  communication,  discussions  and  analysis.  “Food security  is  one  of the  scientific-research  topics  of  our  Chair,  so  the  participation of  Masters,  Postgraduates,  lecturers  in the  trainings  is  important.  Commonly,  Masters  should  acquire professional  communication,  knowledge  in addition to classroom hours.  It  is  so good  to  see  that  this  training  inspires  confidence in our  students”,  said  Suren  Gevorgyan.

He  mentioned  that the  lecturers  of  the  Chair actively participated  in  local  and a number of   international trainings  and  as a fresh example indicated  Canditate  of  Economics Gagik  Aghajanyan’s  participation in  trainings  of  International Institute of Qualification   of  Catalonia  University, the second  stage  of  the training  is   in progress  and  includes  a  number of professional programs  of  food  security.
