THE ACTIVITY OF THE CHAIR UNESCO ON EDUCATION MANAGEMENT IN ASUE WAS ESTIMATED HIGH
The official website of the RA Ministry of Education and Science has informed recently that UNESCO had appreciated the efficiency of its Chairs in Armenia and ensured their future activities.
UNESCO conducted a request in 2011 within member countries to explore the efficiency of its Chairs’ activities: National Committees of that countries, Chairs of UNESCO took part in it. 105 Chairs of UNESCO and 18 UNITWIN Networks are recognized to be inoperative and are subject to be closed according to the results of control audit. The activity of 569 Chairs of UNESCO and 52 UNITWIN Networks are estimated effective, among which are 6 Chairs of UNESCO in Armenia. We are glad to inform that ASUE Chair UNESCO on Education Management is one of these 6 Chairs, which has been founded on October 18, 2005 by the agreement signed between UNESCO headquarters in Paris and National Institute of Education of the RA.
ASUE Media and Public Relations Division spoke with Nerses Gevorgyan, the Chairholder of UNESCO. The latter informs that this high mark has been given to Armenian Chairs for adopted mission and effective work. It includes International cooperation, International Conferences, visits, discussions, reports, internationalization of the institution in which it works. ASUE has won 3 projects of Tempus due to the Chair’s efforts. Nerses Gevorgyan informed that the works of the Chair had been presented during a network meeting of Chairs in Paris, in 2011, had been estimated and had been published in a separate collection of reports.
