THE RESPONSIBLE OF JUNIOR FACULTY DEVELOPMEMT PROGRAM MET JUNIOR LECTURERS OF OUR UNIVERSITY

By  joint  initiative  of ASUE  International Division  and  Career  and  Marketing  Center  Nane  Abrahamyan, the  resbonsible  of  Junior  Faculty  Development  Program,  the Head of the   Armenian  Office  of American  Councils'  International  Education,  was  hosted   in ASUE  Conference  Hall.

Presenting  the  program of  Junior  Faculty  Development  Program to the junior  lecturers  of ASUE, Nane  Abrahamyan mentioned  that  this program was  sponsored  by  the  management  of  the  USA.  The  goal of  the  program is to give the lecturers  of Armenia’s  and  CIS’s,  Eastern Europe’s and  a  number  of  countries’  Universities an opportunity  to have trainings in the humanities and social sciences.

The  speaker  presents that  the program is  enough free and flexible: it allows the participants  not only have  trainings of the field  they prefer, but also get acquainted  with  the educational programs of the  USA  Universities, pedagogical and  methodological  new programs, to develope new  programs and to acquire innovative teaching materials. Nane  Abrahamyan mentions  that the  participants of the  program, while they are in the  USA,  go to  the lessons,  take  part in different  conferences, as well as they are able  to  get  acquainted  with the  other  participants  of the  program, their system of education, culture. Referring to  the conditions suggested  by  the program, the  speaker  informs  that  each  participant  of  JFDP  have  trainings  in the  USA during  the  spring semester: from  January  to  May.  Travel  fees, health insurance, scholarships are given  to them. Problems  concerning to  living  place  cares  the host University  of the USA.
