Today  is  the 28th of May,  Armenia is  celebrating  the  day  of   the First  Republic: the  holiday of  restoration of the Armenian statehood.

On May  1918 the  Armenian  regular forces  and  volunteers  succeeded to  have  brilliant  victories in Gharaqilisia's, Bash-Aparan's and  Sardarapat's  battels:    averting the  Turks'  progress.   The  Armenian, who  were  subject  to other  nations  before that  have  been  declared free and independent citizens  of  the  country  with these victories.

This  great  victory  of May  had  been  prepared for a long time  during the centuries.  It's  a  pity,  the  Armenian  statehood  survived for only two years,   nevertheless  it  has  done great revolution in the hearts and minds of the people.  The  Armenian nation  has  adopted a new system of values  with  May  28:  independence and democracy.

ASUE  Media  and Public  Relations Division  congratulates  everybody  on this great  holiday.  Wish  everybody to  be  the  worth continues  of the  case  started  on May  28,  to love, to  keep and  to  cherish our current statehood  and  to  give  the  generations  such Armenia which is  worth to  the  21st  century.
