ASUE GIRLS' CHESS TEAM WAS AWARDED WITH SILVER MEDALS

The  Republican  Student  13rd  sport  games  of  girls'  chess  team  championship  was  continued  yesterday  at   Chess  House  after  Tigran  Petrosyan.

Lyudmila  Hovhannisyan,  the  coach  of  ASUE  girls'  and  boys'  chess  team,  informed  the Media  and  Public  Relations  Division  that  our  boys  played  5 tours,  winning  the  teams  of  French  University  and  American  University  in  Armenia,  they  lost  the    games  while  playing  with  the  teams  of  Armenian  State  Engineering,  Armenian  State Pedagogical  and  Yerevan  Architectural  Building  Universities.  In  the  result  of all  games  ASUE  boys'  chess  team  won  the  sixth  place  from  the  11  competing  teams.

We  are  glad  to  mention  ASUE  girls'  chess  team,  showing  spectacular  and  interesting  game,  won  the  team  of  Yerevan  State  Medical  University  with  3:0  account,  and  lost  the  game  playing  with  Yerevan State University's team  with  2:1  account.  In  the  result  of  two    days'  game  our  girl  players  registered  only  one  loss,  they  won  the  second  place  and  were awarded  with  silver  medals.

After  the  end  of  champioship  a  solemn  awarding  ceremony  took  place.  Diplomas  and  silver  medals  were awarded  to  our  girl  players  and  their  coach  Lyudmila  Hovhannisyan  by  Henrik  Mokatsyan,  the  Responsible  Clerk  of  Student  Sport  Company.  We  inform  that  the  team  of  Yerevan  State  University  was  awarded  with  gold  medals  and  diplomas.
