WE ARE RAPT WITH YOUR STEP TO FUTURE: SAID THE REPRESENTATIVE OF EUROPEAN STUDENTS' UNION TO KORYUN ATOYAN, THE ASUE RECTOR
The delegation of the European Students' Union, which is in Armenia to spend monitoring of high education situation in the RA, as well as to evaluate the students involvement in this field, today met Koryun Atoyan, the ASUE Rector, Doctor of Economics, Professor, to present the activity of their Union.
Marek Baranski, the President of the Committee of the Development of National Student Structures of the European Students' Union, noted that their company has been founded in 1992, in Sweden. The organization is a member of the student organizations in 45 countries. Student National Association of Armenia is the candidate member of the following company, and issue of the full membership will be discussed this year in Romania, where Armen Ashotyan, the Minister of the Education and Science of the RA, will assume the regional presidency of high education. Marek Baranski presented that the purpose of their visit is to got acquainted with the involvement of students in the educational system of Armenia, mobility, the introduction of Bologna process.
Koryun Atoyan first hoped that in the results of hard work the Student National Association of Armenia would become the worthy member of the organization, then added that he was ready to support this process. The Rector presented that students were involved 25percent in all the curls of the management of the University, in the Council of the University, in the Scientific Council and the President of the Student Council is involved in the staff of Rectorate. Although all these involvements of students, Koryun Atoyan noted that there were much to do to involve the whole students in the educational system. What regards to the Bologna process. The Rector of ASUE noted that he could evaluate that only after seeing the final results, when it would become clear that the process had promoted the increase of education quality.
"I know that Armenia is a bearing of European values in all directions and certainly, with difficulties, but will join the European Family in all directions", announced ASUE Rector. Baranski added, that he was interested in the membership of their company and Student National Association of Armenia. "I am so impressed with the development of the RA. When we came from the airport it seemed to me that I was in a big European country."
The delegation was interested in students' opportunities of finding job, to which Koryun Atoyan answered that the University had signed a number of agreements with several state structures in the result of which such specialists were being prepared that these structures would need them later. "I am happy and rapt with your step to future", announced Marek Baranski, adding that they had foreseen to spent twenty minutes for meeting the Rector but the meeting was so interesting and open that their meeting went long. The Rector, in his turn, thanked for the meeting, hoping, that our students would certainly be in the European Students' Union one day, for which he was ready to support.
