BLESSING CEREMONY OF UNIVERSITY’S NEW MARRIED COUPLES WILL BE SPENT IN THE CHURCH OF ST.GREGORY THE ILLUMINATOR CATHEDRALE IN YEREVAN TOMORROW

Tomorrow,  the Fabruary  14,  is  the  Floral  Celebration. As we  know  every  year  the  Armenian  Apostolic  Church  after  40  days  of  the  birth  of  Christ  the  holiday  of  offering  the  baby  Cհrist  to  the  temple  is   celebrated:  Floral  Celebration.

   The  celebration  will  start   today  evening , as  with  the  church  calendar  the  new  day  starts  after  the  evening  worship.  After  the  worship  with  the  light of  candle  brought  out of  the  church  the  fire  of  Floral   Celebration  is  burnt:  the  main  symbol  of  the  holiday,  which is  connected  with  the  pagan  holiday.

   Years  ago  under the  high  authority  of  N.S.O.T.T.  Garegin  the Second  Chotholicos   of  all  Armenians,  Fabruary  14  has  established   as the  day  of  blessing  new  marrieds.

  As  the  World  Youth  Organization  of Armenian  Church  informs, in  the  circle  of  established  spiritual  programs,  the  Church  of  St. Gregory  the  Illuminator  Chathedral  in Yerevan  is  spending   blessing  ceremony  of University’s  new  married  couples  for  the  first  time  this  year.  Dear  new  married  students,  the  members  of  World  Youth  Orgnization  of  Armeninan  Church  is  looking  forward, that  with  your  participation  this  beautiful  ceremony  will  become  a  tradition.
