The 5th Conference of ASUE Trade Union was Held
Today, the 5th conference of ASUE Trade Union was held, which was attended by Garnik Vagharshyan, Chairman of the branch republican union of the RA Universities Trade Unions, Mihrdat Harutyunyan, Vice-rector of Educational Matters, ASUE.
Grigor Nazaryan, Dean of Department of Regulation of Economy
and International Economic Rеlations, was elected as the Conference Chairman. He presented the agenda issues, which includes report of ASUE Trade Union and Audit Committee, nomination of candidates of Trade Union, new staff of the Committee, the chairman and election.
Grigor Terteryan, Chairman of ASUE Trade Union, presented the work done from 2012 to 2017, in particular the achievements and shortcomings, future prospects for more productive work. Karlen Sargsyan, Chairman of the Audit Committee, reported on the Committee’s done work. Conference delegates made speeches and proposals.
The delegates of the conference considered the work done during the reporting period as satisfactory, confirmed the draft resolution and the Audit Committee report.
Delegates nominated three candidates for the of Chairman of ASUE Trade Union – Grigor Nazaryan, Lusine Karagulyan and Albert Ghazaryan. Grigor Terteryan withdrew his candidacy, after which Albert Ghazaryan, Head of Economic Division, was elected Chairman of the Trade Union by secret ballot.
Then Grigor Nazaryan published the names of the new members of the Trade Union and the members of the Audit Committee and suggested voting. The delegates unanimously elected a new staff of the Union and Audit Committee.
At the end, Garnik Vagharshyan made speech , first thanking Grigor Terteryan for long-term fruitful work, then congratulating the newly elected Chairman and wishing to continue to work efficiently for the benefit of the staff and the University.
Albert Ghazaryan thanked for the confidence and assured that he will do his best to work together with the newly elected Committee and to support the colleagues as much as possible in order to express and defend their interests.
