Deserved Reward to a Devotee of National Culture

Devotee of national song and dance, Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor Siraznik Harutyunyan was awarded a gold medal of the  RA Ministry of Culture for his contribution in preservation and popularization of folk music.

Head of Department of Cultural Heritage and Folk Art Armenak Sargsyan  and Chairman of “Mrro” Armenian National Music Center” NGO Arsen Grigoryan  handed the award in his apartment.

We  congratulate distinguished Siraznik Harutyunyan  and wish him health, endurance, optimism.

Siraznik Harutyunyan has devoted four decades of his working and active, meaningful life to scientific and pedagogical activities, brought up generations with patriotism and morality. In 1982 he created “Masunk” Folk Song and Dance Ensemble in University of Economics, which was joint by students, professors, employees, he invited musicians, provided the  group with national costumes, created wonderful  playlist and was an Art Director of the ensemble for a long time.  It’s worthy to mention that Siraznik Harutyunyan has published a number of studies devoted to Armenian national singing.
