Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Gyumri branch of the Armenian State University of Economics

On March 23, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Gyumri branch of the Armenian State University of Economics. The Prime Minister first walked around the university premises, got familiar with study processes and innovative programs, followed by a new initiative, within the frames of which the platform for panel discussions was opened. The first guest and speaker of the platform was Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan speaking on "Economic development as a state interest".

The meeting was attended by Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of MESCS of Armenia, Mushegh Muradyan, governor of Shirak province, Armen Grigoryan, ASUE acting rector, branch director Karen Petrosyan, officials, guests, and students.

According to the official message of the Prime Minister's office, during the visit, the Digital info system was launched, which itself is an information network that aims at making information more accessible for students and professors in the premises of the university.

The "Lecture Hall for Public Speaking" was opened as well. This platform aims at organizing public speeches and it will contribute to the overall development of communication skills and critical thinking of the student population.

The university has also established the "AI/VR Business Support Center" and the "DTL Digital Transformation Lab".

"Armenian factor: in quest of –yan" project was held during the event leading to the video contact with the representatives of AIU University and researchers of other leading foreign universities and research centers that cooperate with the branch, during which the full implementation of the project will be launched.

Prime Minister Pashinyan held a lecture on "Economic development as a state interest" and answered the questions posed by the audience.
