Quality, efficiency, applicability: ASUE held a discussion on 2018-23 development strategic plan (photos)

ASUE Board Chairman Vache Gabrielyan, ASUE Rector, Professor Koryun Atoyan, Vice-Rectors, Deans, Heads of Chairs, Heads of Divisions, Professors, Administrative Staff and Students participated in the discussion of ASUE 2018-23 development strategic plan.
The rector Koryun Atoyan made opening speech, presenting the done works, at the same time pointing out that the development of this strategy was instructed to the ASUE Rectorate on the January 19 at the session of the ASUE board. According to the Rector, this plan has been developed taking into account the existing and upcoming challenges in the higher education system, with the goal of improving the quality of education and continuing financial sustainability. He touched upon three key components of the strategy, which are quality, efficiency and applicability, so rector hoped that the program would receive support from the most important beneficiaries of our university - our students and partners. 
Then Armen Grigoryan, director of AMBERD Research Center, presented the plan. He noted that the plan was built on numerous queries and researches, and referred to all the directions of the University's activity and the important point, the improvement of the quality. The presents made suggestions, comments on some issues. Ani Ghazaryan, Head of "ASUE Restart" Initiative, Student Council Chairman Hovhannes Harutyunyan voiced the students' approaches.
ASUE Board Chairman Vache Gabrielyan underlined that this was just the beginning of the discussion of the vision of the university's development as it was clear that the university needed a new development course and there were standards, approaches and mechanisms for development in the current plan. According to his proposal, the staff members, students will present their approaches and suggestions in written form to AMBERD Research Center by the end of this month. The plan will be updated in summer. The updated version of plan will be discussed in the new academic year.
