ASUE Students – Winners of the Competition Organized by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia
ASUE students Susanna Hovhannisyan, Arpine Babakhanyan, Mariam Almasyan (Accounting and Taxation, 3rd year), Rouzanna Sargsyan (Management, 2nd year), and Elen Ghubatyan (YSU, Political Science, 4th year) participated as a unified team in the competition organized by the Human Resource Management Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia and emerged as winners. The students received certificates, a symbolic gift for the winner, and will also enjoy the opportunity to meet the Minister of Finance, participate in discussions, and take part in the decision-making process within the institution. The official ceremony for the summary of the competition and the awarding of certificates to participants took place on October 30. The Ministry of Finance implemented the program in collaboration with "AS TEAM" LLC․
Within the framework of the competition, students from various universities in Armenia (participated in courses by ministry experts for two months and engaged in teamwork. The courses covered human resource management, communication skills, fiscal policy, problem-solving strategies, research methodologies, and more.
During the competition, 25 teams were presented with key issues, such as how to make the public sector attractive as a field for professional development and career advancement, how to engage young professionals in the work of the Ministry of Finance how to reduce the average age of Ministry employees by five years within one year, and how to increase the number of young employees by 50% compared to 2024. To solve these challenges, teams presented their solutions through presentations.
The team made up of ASUE students, named “Solution Key,” developed a program aimed at making the Ministry of Finance more attractive to young professionals, with a proposal package. During their presentation, they emphasized areas such as public relations, training courses, testing, internships, and logistical support for their implementation.
The fact that the expert group of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia recognized our students' team as the winner clearly demonstrates that the participants displayed high professional knowledge, creativity, and teamwork skills.
