“You are Succeeding in Sport and You are Competitive”: Ruben Hayrapetyan Met ASUE Best Athletes
Today, ASUE athletes, winning the 1st-3rd places in the RA Universities 20th Republican Sports Games and “Universiade-2019” organized by the Armenian-Russian University and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Hovhannes Gabrielyan, acting Head of the Chair of Physical Training, Emergency Situations and Civil Defense, lecturers-trainers of the Chair met acting Rector Ruben Hayrapetyan.
The University Head invited healthy lifestyle protectors to a friendly meeting aimed at evaluating the role of education, science and sport. Hovhannes Gabrielyan, who is also the Secretary General of the Armenian Student Sport Federation, presented a report to the Rector on the achievements of our athletes during the semester, emphasizing that they are involved in interuniversity events.
Ruben Hayrapetyan welcomed the athlete's purposefulness and noticed: “You are succeeding in sport and you are competitive”. Highlighting the role of sports and physical activity in the University environment, the acting Rector emphasized that those achievements are essential for both healthy lifestyle and promotion of the University brand.
"One of the components of our University's mission should be promotion of healthy lifestyles. In this context, you should inspire everybody with your success”; Ruben Hayrapetyan stated. The University will always support student-athletes to discover and develop their potential. With this inspiring statement, ASUE Head urged to study well, to become good specialists.
