ASUE Student Rescue Unit

In accordance with the decree issued by the mayor of Yerevan to establish public student rescue units within the universities of Yerevan, and the corresponding decree issued by the ASUE Rector, a public student rescue unit comprising 50 individuals, consisting of 2nd and 3rd year bachelor students, has been established at the university. The unit is under the leadership of Hovhannes Gabrielyan, Head of the Chair of Physical Education, Emergency Situations, and Civil Defense of ASUE.

To equip unit members with the necessary knowledge and skills, and to ensure their preparation, the first session was held at the university on April 11. Siranush Harutyunyan, Associate Professor at the ASUE Chair of Physical Education, Emergency Situations, and Civil Defense, responsible for civil defense functions, has held an opening speech.

Garegin Hakobyan emphasized that the theoretical training will be followed by practical exercises, during which specialized tactical training courses will be conducted at various facilities across Yerevan, including universities, schools, kindergartens, shopping centers, and much more.
