ASUE staff involved T-GREEN project participated in the international workshop

On July 10-14, within the “Transforming Graduate Education for Green and Sustainable Future” (T-GREEN) Erasmus+ project ASUE coordinator for T-GREEN project, Head of Fundraising Division Nerses Gevorgyan, experts of the project: Head of International relations division Anzhelika Musayelyan, Associate Professor of the Chair of Environmental Economics Anna Karapetyan and Assistant professor of the same chair Nora Ayvazyan participated in the workshop held at Hellenic International University (Thessaloniki, Greece).

The participants of the opening ceremony were welcomed by the coordinator of the project, Head Quality Assurance Center of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA) Varazdat Hovhannisyan presented the agenda of the workshop and thanked the host university for its efforts.

The attendees were also welcomed by the vice-rector for academic affairs of Hellenic International University Professor Panayotis Tsionas.

Tatevik Gharibyan, Head of the Strategic Planning Department of the Department of Higher and Post-Graduate Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, referred to the cooperation between the state-educational institutions-European structures and the set goals within the framework of the project.

Arevik Ohanyan, Head of strategic projects of Eurasia International University, co-coordinator of T-GREEN project, expert on higher education reforms of "Erasmus+" presented to the participants the chain of reforms and actions of the project, expected results, three-year actions and joint master's programs.

The participants had the opportunity to listen to the speeches of the European partners about educational programs, reforms, existing legal systems and quality control regulations, and in the group discussions they outlined the upcoming problems and things to be done.

T-GREEN is a project aimed at reforming master's education system in universities, and the "Green" policy is its cornerstone. Capacity building of national and institutional administrators, decision and policymakers, educators, researchers, and students to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals targeting environmental issues into policies and educational content are at the core of the project.

Armenian participants of the project are RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, Sports, National Quality Assurance Center, Yerevan State University, Eurasia International University, State University of Economics of Armenia, French University of Armenia, National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Armenian National Agrarian University, Goris State University, Gavar State University, “Erasmus Students’ Network Yerevan” NGO and “Bridge of Hope” NGO.

EU partners are Hellenic International University (Greece), Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), Catholic University of Portugal (Portugal) and Jagiellonian University (Poland).
