The literary contest has revealed new names and made them public
Within the frames of Book Donation and Native Language Days, the competition of authored works announced by ASUE Chair of Languages was finalized: on March 7, the literary day held at the scientific library of the university was accompanied by an awarding ceremony to the best students in various categories, followed by readings, and discussions on literature.
More than 60 applications were submitted to the contest announced back in November: students from different faculties and courses, as well as master students and students of ASUE College of Finance and Economics have expressed their desire to participate in the contest.
The competition committee was headed by Lusine Harutyunyan, Head of the Chair of Languages, and members were ASUE library director Armine Hovhannisyan, lecturers of ASUE Chair of Languages Anna Gharslyan (organizer of the event), Zukhra Yervandyan, Anna Yerkanyan, Lilit Hakobyan and Mary Abgaryan. The commission also comprised the representatives of modern Armenian literature: poets Gor Harutyunyan and Petros Hoktanyan, and novelists Davit Samvelyan and Ani Mirzoyan.
More than six dozen literary works on love, homeland, philosophy were introduced, and members of the commission have identified the winners that was not an easy task.
All the winners were awarded certificates, fiction books were presented to them, and a group of young authors has received certificates of gratitude.
Finally, the literary competition has identified talented and creative students and inspired them to enter the literary field with more confidence.
