The topic of the ASUE Associate Professor is among the winners of "Thematic Financing Contest -2018"

As a result of more than 6 months of expertise, the State Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia has approved the list of guaranteed scientific topics for contract for the thematic funding of 2018 scientific and technical activities. Atom Margaryan, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, director of the “Innovative and Institutional Research” SEL is in the list with "Licensing and commercialization of applied scientific-research developments in the Republic of Armenia".
Atom Margaryan told us that the topic of state funding, guaranteed by the results of the competition refered to the issues of patent protection and commercialization of applied scientific research, which were very important for the Republic of Armenia. He added that in order to have a competitive national economy with knowledge-based, high-tech and international standards, it is necessary to create a system of institutional protection and market advancement of innovations that will boost the research activity on the one hand and, on the other, ensure profitable commercialization of its results.
Atom Margaryan informed that the topic would be implemented by the efforts of the head of the laboratory and senior researcher H. Terzyan, as well as by two invited researchers. It will last for 24 months.
The Head of the Laboratory also added that his topic was also recognized as the winner of the "Effective Researcher -2018" competition of the State Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.
