ARARAT project’s sustainability and continuity monitoring visit at ASUE

Within the framework of EU Tempus Armenian Coordination Agency "University - Employer" (ARARAT), No. 530321-TEMPUS-1-2012-1-AM-TEMPUS-SMHES sustainability and continuity monitoring visit, EU "Education, Audiovisual and Culture" Executive Agency’s project coordinator Belen Enfison and the representatives of the Erasmus + National Office in Armenia Lana Karlova, Edith Soghomonyan and Ani Torosyan were hosted at ASUE on November 15 to learn the activities after the completion of the project. Representatives of ASUE Quality Assurance Division report that the European Commission and the Executive Agency have developed a comprehensive monitoring policy for the continuous monitoring of the Tempus programs, paying special attention to the sustainability of the programs and the results. Members of ARARAT project management team: Ani Baghdasaryan and Anna Pakhlian from Quality Assurance Division, head of Educational-Methodological Affairs  Service Gayane Merdinyan, Director of AMBERD Research Center Armen Grigoryan, representatives of Armenian partner universities and institutions participated in the meeting. The main achievements of ARARAT project, their application, as well as the activities for ensuring the continuity and sustainability of the project have been presented and discussed. Particularly, the first Work Package “Capacity Building” was discussed. Discussion was also made on the mechanisms of the university-labor market cooperation and the main stakeholders in this process. The National Centre for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation (ANQA) has presented the experience of applying a new model of the university-employer dialogue and its basic principles. University-employer cooperation model was presented in the"Education and Specialist. Professional Education Today and Tomorrow" 4th forum organized by National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance (ANQA). The proposed model within the framework of ARARAT project has been successfully tested in the spheres of management, informational technology and pedagogy, then on the initiative of ANQA in translation sphere. One of the main achievements of the ARARAT project is the Manual for Sectorial Qualifications Framework Operationalization.

Note, that the objective of the ARARAT project is to ameliorate the relevance of higher education to ever-changing labor market needs through establishment and operationalization of universities-employers cooperation nexus in Armenia.
