164 Women are Engaged in Science at ASUE: International Day of Women and Girls in Science

February 11 is celebrated as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The UN has been celebrating this day since 2016, aimed at drawing public attention to the issue of using the potential of women in science by ensuring equal rights and opportunities. The motto of 2022 is “Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion: Water Unites Us”.

Women have made a significant contribution to the development of science at the Armenian State University of Economics. 164 of the female employees holding different positions at the University are engaged in science: 5 women are Doctors of Sciences, Professors, 2 – Doctors of Sciences, Associate Professors, 58 - PhDs, 5 - Associate Professors, 94 - PhDs, Associate Professors.

At the same time, they are Heads of Chairs, Deans, Heads of Divisions, lecturers, researchers, and the post-graduate and applicant generation are coming to replace them year by year, proving with their purposefulness and willpower that scientific progress is also in the hands of women scientists.
