New Partnership for Strengthening Ties with the Labor Market

Today, ASUE Chair of Financial Accounting and “Parvanyan Consulting” company signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at meeting labor market requirements, matching each other's abilities for the modernization and development of the educational process in the field of accounting.

During the event organized by Labor Market and Alumni Affairs of ASUE Foreign Relations Department, document signing ceremony was held by Alvard Sargsyan, Head of the Chair of Financial Accounting and Tigran Zohrabyan, Head of Accounting Department of “Parvanyan Consulting” company.

The event was attended by Tigran Mnatsakanyan, Vice Rector for Science, Diana Galoyan, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Paruyr Jangulyan, Aram Hovhannisyan, Heads of Departments, Mher Parvanyan, Director of Finance, Mery Badalyan, Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, Lilit Gyulgyulyan, Vard Ghukasyan, Aghavni Hakobyan, Heads of Divisions of Foreign Relations Department, as well as students.

Among a number of issues, this cooperation envisages that “Parvaryan Consulting” will conduct an internship of 3-6 months for students of accounting and taxation specialty, after which the best ones can get a job offer and will provide students with specific tasks and as a result, students will acquire skills and abilities.

Paruyr Jangulyan, Director of ASUE Foreign Relations Department, underscored the importance of cooperation, then highlighted the participation of students in the event, noting that this is a good opportunity for them to meet the company representatives and to get aware of the company’s standards and requirements for being employed and passing internship.

Diana Galoyan stated that traditionally the weakness of the educational process in universities was the improper level of transferring practical skills to students. “And now, such cooperation memorandums enable to improve the relationship between educational institutions and employers, and I hope this will become a good example of signing such memorandums in all specialties in the future”.

Tigran Zohrabyan, Head of Accounting Department of “Parvanyan Consulting” company noted that the cooperation with the Economic University is important, cause students are enable to strengthen their theoretical knowledge with the experience and practical skills. “Today, the labor market needs accountants, but companies are hardly able to find a qualified specialist, as they need practical skills besides theoretical knowledge”.

Alvard Sargsyan, Head of the Chair of Financial Accounting, expressed happiness for such cooperation, noting that students are encouraged by this offer, because they will be able to gain a good opportunity to strengthen their knowledge in “Parvayan Consulting” company. “This is a good opportunity to educate students, improving their knowledge, and providing practical experience. I am confident this cooperation will be effective for our students”; Mary Badalyan, Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, stated.

Then, Gagik Badadyan, Master’s degree student of ASUE Faculty of Management and collaborator of “Parvayan Consulting” presented structure, activities, and the services provided by the company. Then students asked questions they’re interested in and got proper answers and clarifications by General Director of “Parvanyan Consulting”.
