An environment where both lecturers and students have a full opportunity to get education has been created: President Vahagn Khachaturyan was present at the opening of three new classrooms at ASUE Gyumri branch

Within the frames of the working visit to Gyumri, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan was present at Armenian State University of Armenia Gyumri branch at the opening ceremony of three new classrooms.

President of the Republic, accompanied by Regional Governor of Shirak Nazeli Baghdasaryan, Mayor of Gyumri Vardges Samsonyan, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, and the ASUE Rector Diana Galoyan took a tour around the university, got familiar with new programs, spoke to academic staff and students.

The newly-opened innovation and creativity, faculty collaboration and distance learning classrooms were equipped with latest technologies and new solutions and aim to make education more enjoyable when students generate creative ideas and establish startups by means of co-working and bringing them to life.

President of the Republic held a welcoming speech at the conference “120 km: so close, and so far from a 25-year observation", and pointed out that ASUE Gyumri branch has exceeded the expectations. He pointed out that as the Chairman of the Board of the Armenian State University of Economics he was very pleased to attend such a significant event for the University.

“I did not doubt that a surprise was awaiting us. An environment has been created that will provide a full opportunity for lecturers and students to get good education. We can even talk about a competition to exist between ASUE Yerevan and Gyumri branch. We all speak about the necessity of education but it should also be innovative and what we witnessed today has been created with innovative principles” – the President pointed out.

The President emphasized that there is no other way for the development of our country than to receive education and develop science. "We will not have oil and gas, we must be able to use the grace of God, which is to be educated and to contribute to science, to take the initiative, and to make full use of it. In this regard, I ask all the people who are responsible for providing education not to spare their strength and energy to grant high-quality education to the young generation. What depends on the state, and the government, believe me, everything has been done, and will be done. Many things also depend on your initiatives. Any program, and any initiative in our country has the opportunity to become a reality in science, production, and in every field, " said President Khachaturyan, wishing everybody new success and achievements.
