Deans and Heads of Chairs Were Elected at ASUE Scientific Board Session

On February 8, the Armenian State University of Economics hosted the 1st session of Scientific Board in 2022 headed by Diana Galoyan, the Chair, ASUE Rector.

The working plan of the second half of the 2021-2022 academic year was approved at the beginning of the session, then the competitions announced for the vacant position of the Heads of ASUE Chairs were held. Aram Sargsyan, the Chair of competitive commission, Doctor of Sciences, Professor, honorary Head of ASUE Chair, reported this issue. Candidates for vacant positions: Mikayel Melkumyan, Doctor of Sciences, Professor, Yevgenya Bazinyan, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Head of PhD Division, Armen Ghazaryan, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Grigor Nazaryan, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor and Vahe Mikayelyan, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, presented development programs, strategies of the Chairs and Faculties for the coming years.

After the presentations of the programs, Mary Badalyan, the Dean of ASUE Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, made a speech, noting that worthy candidates had applied, who proved their devotion to the University through their daily work. Armen Grigoryan, ASUE Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, suggested to record that the deserving candidates would be elected, they had ambitious programs, then added that the candidates should accept the election results as a challenge, as the Scientific Board would be witness of their effective work for the next 5 years. "The nominees are the devotees of the University of Economics, they treat their work with great compassion and responsibility"; Diana Galoyan stated, presenting each candidate individually. Candidates, who had applied to the competition were elected to the relevant positions by secret ballot. At the same time, ASUE Rector thanked Ashot Tavadyan, the former Head of the Chair of Mathematical Methods in Economics for fruitful activity and paving the way for the young staff.
