German Foreign Ministry Funds New International Project at ASUE
The Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE) has joined the international project "Empowering Women Through Digital Skills," funded by the German Foreign Ministry in partnership with the "Copernicus Berlin" association (Germany) and "Au Carrefour de L’Europe" (France).
This project aims to empower women from rural communities in Armenia by helping them overcome challenges stemming from limited access to resources. It offers practical training in digital skills and includes the creation of an online platform to ensure the project's long-term sustainability. A dedicated website has been developed, and a series of events, visits, and workshops are underway.
As part of this initiative, the first international workshop, titled "Empowering Women Through Digital Skills," was held in Berlin from September 2-10. Thirteen ASUE female students, along with four other participants from Armenia, attended, accompanied by the ASUE project coordinator.
During the workshop, participants visited the Bundestag and joined a panel discussion on the "Advantages and Challenges of the German Educational System." Throughout the week, they participated in workshops on various topics, including "Digital Networking: How We Successfully Connect on LinkedIn," "Increase Your Chances of Getting Hired," "Influence & Inspire: Empowering Voices in the Global Digital World," "AI-powered Future: The Role of GenAI in Business Transformation," "Digital Literacy in the AI Era," and "Inclusive & Accessible Design."
Upon returning to Armenia, each participant conducted their own workshop to share the digital skills they acquired, contributing to the empowerment of their local communities.
The next workshop is scheduled to take place in Paris from October 31 to November 7, with 16 participants expected to attend.
