Charge d'Affaires of the People's Republic of China Visits ASUE

ASUE Rector Armen Grigoryan welcomed Min Chen, the Charge d'Affaires of the People's Republic of China in Armenia, along with representatives from the Chinese Embassy, on October 22. The meeting was also attended by Lusine Danielyan, Director of the International Relations Department, and Vardan Atoyan, Head of the Sociology Department.

Rector Grigoryan emphasized the importance of collaborating with Chinese universities, particularly in research. He noted that ASUE representatives have visited China on various occasions, and that such visits to a country with an ancient civilization are both beneficial and productive.

Lusine Danielyan elaborated on ASUE’s strong partnerships with European universities and the university's growing collaboration with Chinese institutions over the past two years, expressing eagerness to further these connections. Vardan Atoyan also highlighted the significance of building relationships with China’s academic community, expressing hope that these ties will soon be more formalized.

Min Chen outlined several potential areas of cooperation that could benefit both ASUE faculty and students. At his request, Rector Grigoryan provided an overview of the university’s faculties, specializations, educational programs, and collaborative opportunities.

Following the meeting, the Rector gave the guests a tour of the university, showcasing its infrastructure and faculties. Min Chen thanked ASUE for their warm hospitality and extended an invitation to Rector Grigoryan to visit the embassy.
