Yelena Manukyan, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the chair of Mathematical Methods in Economics , director of ASUE “Social Research” Scientific-educational laboratory, visited University of Hasselt (Belgium) on May 21-25, within the framework of “Erasmus+” program. Yelena Manukyan had lectures for master’s students on "Time series research" in the framework of "Econometrics" course at the department of Business Economics. She pointed out that the university students were aimed to get the most knowledge, experience and opinion from the lecturer, and to get acquainted with the new professional thinking in the case of a foreign lecturer. Elena Manukyan also participated in a research workshop, during which two doctoral students from Hasselt University presented reports and presented the identification and modeling of the factors affecting the crime. Our colleague had a report on "Trade Balance in Armenia and Modeling the Real Exchange Rates", which was of great interest to the doctoral-researchers and they made a suggestion of cooperation. Yelena Manukyan also participated in a student conference, with 6 sections and was positively impressed. For the participant, winning was not a stimulus, it was aimed to present their own research to professionals and get support. Elena Manukyan was present at the lecture by Prof. Javier Follin, Professor of the University of Navarra (Spain) on "Carrying out the problems of cargo transportation and logistics with simheuristic and metaheuristic approaches". She returned with vivid impressions from Hasselt.
