PR specialist Astghik Avetisyan was at ASUE

ASUE Lifelong Education and Career Division initiated a meeting for students on PR: How to publicize ourselves and our work. The lecture was delivered by Astghik Avetisyan, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor, president of "Armenian PR Association" scientific informational NGO. The head of Lifelong Education and Career Division Aida Arustamyan and the staff, associate professor of chair of Marketing Lilit Dadayan were present at the lecture. The majority of the participants were the students of Master’s degree of Marketing communication specialty.
The essence and the role of PR was interpreted in a new light. Basics of Theory of Public Relations Astghik Avetisyan presented with examples of recent internal political events (eg. Velvet Revolution) from a professional point of view, analyzing specific facts which are the evidence of competent PR approach. The audience was involved in the discussion of issues related to imagemaking, speechwriting, lobbying. Question-and-answer part of the lecture was also very content.
Seda Sargsyan, 2nd year student of Master’s degree of Marketing communication specialty, noted that this kind of lectures were a great opportunity to strengthen the gained knowledge and complete them with the help of experienced professionals.
