ASUE Scientists Attended International Conference in Vienna

On November 26-29, conference on accounting and auditing reforms was held in Vienna, which was attended by Mari Badalyan, Dean of the Department of Accounting and Auditing, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Alvard Sargsyan, the Chair of Financial Accounting, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Liana Grigoryan, Doctor of Sciences, Associate Professor.

The conference was conducted under the auspices of the World Bank, attended by delegates from than 10 countries (Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and other countries), including ministers of finance, international experts, members of university faculty, representatives of public and private sectors, in general, 250 participants. ASUE representatives have received an invitation from the Center for Financial Reporting Reforms.

Liana Grigoryan submitted information, detailing that within the frames of “STAREP” workshop ASUE delegates participated in the discussions regarding reforms of educational programs of accounting and auditing, listened to expert opinions and reports. Issues related to the introduction and improvement of the corporate financial reporting system were key ones. The discussions were managed by the Center for Financial Reporting Reforms (CFRR).

“It is very important that the academic sector and the Association of Accountants and Auditors always collaborate, discuss issues of improving educational programs on a global scale. In this regard, our participation was effective and cognitive one”; Liana Grigoryan mentioned.
