Economic Growth is the Basis of Development. Ex-Prime Minister of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan Met ASUE Students

Today, Arayik Harutyunyan, Advisor to Artsakh President-special assignment representative, was hosted at Armenian State University of Economics and spoke on “Artsakh's Economic Prospects and Development Vision”. The meeting was attended by Vard Ghukasyan, Head of Foreign Relations Division, Aghavni Hakobyan, Head of Educational Division, Deans, representatives of academic staff, students, including from Artsakh.

Vard Ghukasyan welcomed the attendees and in the context of Artsakh-ASUE interaction highlighted this is a regular meeting of Arayik Harutyunyan, then gave the floor to him. Arayik Harutyunyan stressed that the University of Economics is close to him, particularly he studied at Yerevan Institute of National Economy in 1990-1994.

During the lecture, he touched upon the process of economic development of Artsakh, achievements, presented macroeconomic indicators, emphasizing that the Republic of Artsakh has managed to achieve great success in the key economic sectors, the economy fully satisfies its own needs.

Then the students asked questions referring to tax and banking policies, unemployment, universities-state sector and business sector cooperation, human resource policy.

The ex-prime minister of Artsakh thoroughly touched upon the raised questions, presented his approaches, stressing that the solution to all the problems is the economic development and only the economic growth that ensures the development of the states in all directions.

At the end of the meeting Arayik Harutyunyan called the students to study well, expressing conviction that the talented and experienced young specialist is always competitive and will surely find a worthy job.

In his farewell speech, expressing gratitude to the University leadership, he expressed willingness to conduct new meetings with ASUE students, present new comments and positions.
