The Working Meeting of MINERVA Project was Held

Today, an internal working meeting of MINERVA project of the EU "Erasmus +" KA2 project ("Strengthening Research Management and Open Science Capacities of HEIS in Moldova and Armenia") was held, which was attended by the Heads and collaborators of the University subdivisions (AMBERD Research Center, Science, PhD, International Relations, HRM, Fundraising, economic engineering departments, Economic and Engineering, Library), who are engaged in the project to achieve the latter's goals.

Tatul Mkrtchyan, Vice Rector for Science, presented the target goals, the work done and the achievements within the frames of MINERVA project, in particular informing that the application submitted by ASUE to EURAXESS (platform of pan-European researchers), which was preceded by detailed work and is now under examination. The Vice Rector noted that, receiving a degree of excellence, our University will have the opportunity to be represented on the European Research Area equally and to record new achievements and outcomes. Then, Tatul Mkrtchyan referred to the membership to the Berlin Declaration, the works carried out towards "open science" system, introduction of research base, anti-plagiarism system, and then pointed out the current and further actions.

Evgenya Bazinyan, Head of PhD Division, also made a speech. She mainly touched upon the content of the terms "open science", "open access", which assumes accessibility, transparency, accountability of research, spoke about the work done in this direction. In this context, Evgenia Bazinyan presented the Berlin Declaration, which offers practical ways to achieve open access.

At the end of the meeting, a discussion was held on the creation of technical and content infrastructures for the research result.

Let’s recall, ASUE has become a member of MINERVA since 2019, the project aimed at creating and strengthening technical and content infrastructure in the field of research, introduction of a program fighting against plagiarism and academic ethics, research base creation and introduction. The project is implemented in Moldova and Armenia. Here are the project participants in Armenia: the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Republic of Armenia, Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE), Yerevan State University (YSU), Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences (YSULS) and Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU). Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova coordinates the project.

ASUE Marketing and Public Relations Division
