ASUE hosted the delegates of European Chess Universities teams

ASUE Rector, Doctor of Economics, Professor Koryun Atoyan today hosted the delegates of European Chess Universities Championship, who arrived to Armenia from different countries. The head of the chair of Physical training, emergency situations chair Hovhaness Gabrielyan and the head of ASUE Foreign Relations Division Vard Ghukasyan were also present at the meeting.

Welcoming the guests Koryun Atoyan said. "Dear Friends, I am delighted to welcome you at our university. I hope we shall have the chance to cooperate in any format soon, which will serve as a great opportunity for exchange of experience".

The guests Leonz Eder, EUSA Vice-President, Anzhi Hryhorovych Vice-president of the Student Federation of Sports (Poland, Brotslav), Rıfat Çabuk  organizer of 2017 League, thanked the Rector for hosting them at the middle of his busy working day. They stressed that Armenia was the best country to hold chess competitions, where wonderful chess tradition exist and "Chess" is included in the school curriculum.

At the end of the meeting the Rector and the guests exchanged symbolic gifts.

Note. European Chess Universities Championship was held from October 6-11. The opening ceremony was attended by the RA Ministry of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan. The championship is held for the first time, 25 university teams from 9 countries participate at the championship.
