Defense Minister of RA Seyran Ohanyan was at ASUE
Today, towards the 24th anniversary of Armenia's independence Defense Minister of RA Seyran Ohanyan visited ASUE. The coordinator of Board of Trustees of Youth Foundation of Armenia Karen Avagyan was also at ASUE.
On the initiative of ASUE SC Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan opened a rifle range, where Minister Ohanyan, Rector Atoyan and YFA coordinator Avagyan pierced the targets. University Great Hall hosted the meeting of ASUE stuff and the Minister.
ASUE Rector, Professor Koryun Atoyan welcomed all present. "Honorable Minister, guests, the patriotic education of youth is our principle. As you know, ASUE SC has a great contribution to the development of this principle: presentations, visits to military units, new publications, events and meetings to reflect our dedication and selfless contribution to this cause. Today's event is the latest example. ASUE rifle range will become a new channel of communication between students and army”. .
Afterwards the floor was given to Defense Minister of RA Seyran Ohanyan, who congratulated all present with the 24th anniversary of Independence of RA. "I emphasize the price of independence, freedom. I emphasize the joint activity of Armenian people in our new history, which took us to our
targets: freedom, independence, freedom of creation, which will ensure the future development of our people and our homeland", said the Minister. The Minister stressed the importance of strengthening the army-society relations and welcomed all patriotic initiatives of the students.
Once again congratulating ASUE with the opening of the rifle range, the minister willingly answered the questions of the students. Afterwards active students, postgraduates, professors were awarded with medals for patriotic activities.
Defense Minister of RA Seyran Ohanyan and Rector Koryun Atoyan handed each other symbolic souvenirs as a sign of cooperation.
