“Agro insurance opportunities”: presented by scientific and educational group

ASUE conference hall today hosted the final report of the "Agricultural Insurance" scientific and educational group, which was attended by ASUE Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and External Relations Gagik Vardanyan, director of "Amberd” Research Center Samvel Avetisyan, Head of the Scientific Division Khoren Mkhitaryan, dean of the department of Regulation of Economy and International Economic Relations Atom Margaryan, representatives of ASUE scientific staff and students.  

In his welcoming speech Gagik Vardanyan noted that agriculture is a difficult area, much to be done, and it is encouraging that the University has made a commitment to undertake research work in this field.

Group supervisor, associate professor of Manuk Movsisyan said that after presenting the outcome, the group expects questions, comments and some support.

Associate professor Arman Daghunts presented the main results of the study, noting that the group had proposed a model of agricultural risk insurance, then he presented the mechanism and the possible problems. He referred to the introduction of the agro insurance in RA, and pointed out the first steps.

The presentations were followed by questions, comments and observations.
