SEMINAR-DISCUSSION ON “CURRENCY EXCHANGE FLUCTUATIONS IN THE RA: FACTORS, CAUSES AND POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES”

 Seminar-discussion on “Currency exchange fluctuations  in the  RA: factors, causes and possible consequences”  was  initiated  at  ASUE   by  the  Chair  of   Finance,  which  was  attended  by Rector  Koryun Atoyan, Vice-rector  of  Science  and  International  Relations  Gagik  Vardanyan, representatives  of  the  Cahir  of  Finance, members  of  Faculty,  students.

In opening  remarks  Koryun Atoyan mentioned that  Economic  University  should react  to the country’s economic developments, do analysis, scientific interpretations.

Acting Head of  the Chair  of  Finance,  Doctor  of  Economics, Professor Ashot  Salnazaryan  outlined  that fluctuations  are typical  to any  market   and  they  are   market  especially in  financial  market.

 Associate  Professor  at  the  Chair  of  Banking  and Insurance, Candidate  in Economics  Suren Poghosyan presented  a  report  and referred  to factors,  causes  and  possible consequences  of  currency exchange fluctuations. The  Associate  Professor presented the  stages  of  currency exchange fluctuations:  adjustment    of   exchange  rates by  the  Central  Bank, free  fall, announcements  and consultations, adjustment  of  market exchange rate.   Revelation  of  currency exchange fluctuations, factors  of  currency exchange fluctuations, demand and supply of dollar.

The  speaker  referred to  macroeconomic  and  financial  bases  of crisis  of  currency exchange  market.  The  Associate  Professor  summarized  the  report,  pointing  out possible consequences   of crisis  of  currency exchange  market.

Dean of  the  Department of  Accounting and  Auditing,  Doctor  of  Economics, Associate  Professor  Ashot  Matevosyan  also  presented  a report.

After  the  reports’  presentation  a  discussion was  held.
