DISCUSSION ON “ROLE OF FINANCIAL SYSTEM IN INCLUSIVE GROWTH PROCESS” AT ASUE

Today, a round  table-discussion   on “Role  of  Financial  System  in Inclusive  Growth  Process”  was  held  at ASUE Center for International Programs (Nalbandyan 128, N2 building).

Note,  that Armenian State  University  of  Economics  supported  by Swiss Cooperation Office in the South Caucasus   fulfills a  program entitled   “Creating a  Platform  for Discussion  on Inclusive Growth in Armenia” and  today’s  meeting  is  the  5th one.

The  meeting was  attended  by the  Director  of  Armenian Office  of  Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Zara Alaverdyan,  representative  of  Swiss Cooperation Office in the South Caucasus,  Lukas Lyusher, Vice-rector of  Methodological  Matters, ASUE, Paruir Kalantaryan, Project Management Group  at  ASUE  headed  by  Nerses  Gevorgyan,  lecturers, students.

Today’s  meeting  was  conducted  by  Director  of  “AMBERD”  Research  Center, Doctor, Professor,  Samvel  Avetisyan.

“Program’s overall  ideology  is to join  and  to  discuss  scientific, academic sectors’  researchers and  practical  workers’  approaches  around current economic problems. This is a good model to create a platform for productive discussions around the mentioned problems”;  mentioned  Nerses  Gevorgyan.

“Analysis of the financial system is the best tool to measure each country's economic situation”;  said  Samvel  Avetisyan  presenting  the  topic  of  discussion  and delivered  the speech  to the  main  speaker, Head of Monetary and Fiscal Policy Analysis Department,  Hasmik  Ghahramanyan.  First, he introduced the definitions of inclusive growth, referred  to  current state of the financial system,  current  problems,  issues, whether financial sector development contributed  to inclusive growth.

Discussion was  held,  questions  were raised  on the  discussed topic.
