Asen Bojikov Held Two-Day-Lectures on Cyber Security

Asen  Bojikov, professor of  Tsenov Academy of Economics is  hosted  at ASUE on November 6-10 within the  frames  of “Erasmus +” program, and holds open lectures.

Yesterday, on November 8, the  professor  visited the  Department of Computer Science  and Statistics, and  held a lecture  on “The Role of Information Technology in the Elimination of Disaster Impacts” (the last  photo is from this meeting).

Today, the  professor  held lecture  on “Leaving in the  Age  of Ransomware” at  ASUE  Center  for  International Programs,  which  was attended  by the  Master’s  degree students  of Macroeconomic Analysis headed  by the  Chair Karen Grigoryan, students, lecturers.

“Armenia, particularly the University of Economics, was my preference among   a number of countries I was offered within the framework of the program.

I am very impressed with your country, and yesterday's meeting with the students was a wonderful experience, their interest in the raised issue was great, a very effective discussion took place”; stated Asen Bojikov before  today’s  lecture  would  start.

Tatevik Hovhannisyan, leading specialist of ASUE  Foreign Relations Division, introducing  the  guest  and the topic, stated that  the lecture  will raise the modernity of cyber threats and cyber crimes, and the  importance  and capacity of  protecting  from them and the speaker expects lively discussion and exchange of ideas.

Asen Bojikov touched upon the public danger of illegal activities in the field of information technologies, their types, possible failures of automated systems, the threat of destruction of information resources and personal data.
