“JEOPARDY”: NEW FORMAT OF INTELLECTUAL GAME AT ASUE (updated)

ASUE tournament  of “Jeopardy” intellectual game contest   launched today  at  ASUE Conference  Hall by  initiative  of  ASUE  SC.  Note, that “Jeopardy” is  an American television game show  and  is  mostly conducted in Russian. The  game  was  conducted  in Armenian  at ASUE.       

Harutyun Arzumanyan, Chairman of the  University  Scholars Club,   conducted  the  game. He, acclaiming the opening of the game, presented the rules and procedures.   So, 26  students  participated in the  game, 18  of  whom were  selected. Those  who overcame  the pre-selection stage  already  played  in teams  (teams  of 6 participants), the  best  players  would  be  selected  among them.

Questions were  asked  within the  framework of  interesting topics,  which  the players should  answer  to  within 5 seconds.  

Here  are  the  headlines included in pre-selection stage: “Rivers and Lakes”, “Literature”, “Kitchen”, “Dogs”, “Cinema World”  and etc., 8 questions  of  each  of  which  were  asked.

The organizers  mentioned  that the  tournament  aimed  to find  out intellectual students  at our  University,  who  would  be included  in other  intellectual  games in future.  The   competition was  open   to  all  students.

At the  end of  the  game    winners  of 1-3 places  became  known.  Thereby,    the 1st place- Hayk Minasyan, the 1st year  student  of Master Degree Program, Department  of  Accounting  and  Audit, the 2nd  one- Garnik Mirzoyan-the 3rd year  student,  Department  of Marketing  and  Business  Management,    the 3rd place-Haykaz Melkumyan- the 2nd  year  student, Department  of  Accounting  and Audit. The  winners  were  awarded  with  certificates  and books.
