SEMINAR COVERS THE HISTORY OF ARMENIAN ECONOMIC THOUGHT

The 2nd  year  students  of Theory of Economics         specialty at the  Department of  Regulation of Economy and International Economic Rеlations conducted the 2nd seminar-training entitled “Merkantilisme in Armenian Reality”.  While  the students will  start  presentation,  Samvel Grigoryan, the  conductor of the lesson, Associate Professor  at  the  Chair of Theory of Economics  presented the  general term of referring to  origin, ideology of merkantilisme, its role in the history of economic thought.

Then students: Gayane Hovhannisyan, Karine  Karapetyan, Marieta Danielyan, Mariam Mkrtchyan, Hasmik Galstyan  and Rita Ohanyan  presented views of Armenian famous authors regarding merkantilisme.

In the  interview  with ASUE Media  and Public Relations Division Samvel Grigoryan mentioned  that  the  course  of “History  of  Economics” would  be  continued and  the next  seminar would  be   devoted  to  the   18th-19th  century Western Armenian authors who have created 7 textbooks  of  economics: summarizing in them  their analyzes and approaches.
