ASUE PHD WINS GRANT COMPETITION “SUPPORT FOR PHD STUDENTS AND YOUNG APPLICANTS-2013”

ASUE PhD Gayane Avetisyan wins grant competition “Support for PhD Students and Young Applicants 2013”,  the  result  became  known  recently during the  solemn  ceremony  of awarding  grant  certificates  of  the winners.

Gayane Avetisyan participated  in the  contest,  presenting research entitled “Protection of Economic Competition Issues in State Procurement Process”, the  scientific director is Hovsep Aghajanyan, the  Head of  the  Chair  of Theory of  Economics, Doctor  in Economics, Professor.

According to the  official  website of the  RA Ministry of  Education and  Science the award ceremony of the winners of grant competition “Support for PhD Students and Young Applicants 2013” was held at the RA State Committee of Science, which  was  attended  by the RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia Radik Martirosyan, Chairman of the State Committee of Science Samvel Harutyunyan, YSU Rector Aram Simonyan.

Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Armen Ashotyan congratulated the young scientists, noting that our country will provide them with more favorable conditions and environment to develop research activities and to raise the level of the academic performance.

99 applications for participation had been submitted. Based on the scientific expertise the ranking table of 28 research winning topics was formed.

14 topics are from the field of natural sciences, 6 - engineering and technology, 1 - medical, 1- agricultural, 4 – social sciences, 2 – Armenian Studies and humanities.

8 topics were submitted by the PhD students and applicants of the institutes of NAS RA. Among winning topics 8 are from YSU, 3 - Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, 5 - State Engineering University of Armenia, 1 – Armenian State University of Economics, 1 – Medical University of Armenia, 1 – Armenian Agricultural University and 1 – Yerevan State Linguistic University.
