THE SESSION OF ASUE COUNCIL
“Armenian State University of Economics has its unique role in education system of the Republic. It is pleasant that the University Administration and Faculty staff make all possible efforts to strengthen the achieved success, to integrate into education system and to prepare highly qualified specialists.
This will greatly enhance to increase the reputation of our educational institute in the international arena”; said Hovik Abrahamyan, the Presidents of the RA NA, the President of ASUE Council today during ASUE Council’s session and mentioned that the achievements are obvious.
He highlighted the social package which had been put into action since this academic year, creation of “AMBERD” Research Center, achievements of internationalization. “Koryun Atoyan’s comprehensive report facts that the academic year has been important in terms of work done in education institute. It isn’t secret that good knowledge has become a competitive product and capital. For achieving this capital the educational process should be improved constantly, to which the University’s efforts are aimed”; mentioned Hovik Abrahamyan.
Before ASUE Council’s session started Hovik Abrahamyan, the President of the RA, the President of ASUE Council, Armen Ashotyan, the Minister of Education and Science accompanied by Koryun Atoyan, ASUE Rector, took a tour around the University, visited “AMBERD” Research Center, the repaired canteen.
The participants of ASUE Council, including the members of ASUE Council: Arman Sahakyan, the Head of State Property Management Department, Abram Bakhchagulyan, the Head of Food Safety State Inspection of the RA Ministry of Agriculture, Pavel Safaryan, First Deputy Minister ofFinance, Sevak Khachatryan, the President of ASUE SC and other members of the Council watch a video about the previous year’s activity of the University. Then the President of ASUE Council presented the agenda of the session and then Koryun Atoyan presented a report “The Results of Academic and Financial-Economic Activities in 2013 and the Main Indexes of Budget Project in 2014 at Armenian State University of Economics”: various issues were introduced in details: educational-methodological matters, organizing and improving the educational process, the students’ progress, scientific activity, academic issues, public relations, the Universityinternationalization and economic activity and other issues.
Then Koryun Atoyan presented the second issue of the agenda: to make changes in the University’s organizational structure, that’s to join the Chairs of Commerce and Business Organization, as well as Chairs of Mathematical Methods and Statistics.
Armen Ashotyan mentioned that the 2nd issue is a step ahead the state major reforms and the University of Economics was the 1st one to follow the reforms initiated by the Government.
“The Government plans to admit a new list of professions, therefore our academic process should be changes, including University infrastructure, infrastructure units”; said the Minister.
ASUE Council listened to and discussed the mentioned issues, and headed by Hovik Abrahamyan, the President of the RA NA, decided to approve academic, scientific and financial activities in 2013, to evaluate budget execution results of 2013 and to establish ASUE budget in 2014. The Council decided to join the Chairs of Commerce and Business Organization, as well as Chairs of Mathematical Methods and Statistics.
The decrees were admitted in an open vote, unanimously.
At the end of the session Hovik Abrahamyan congratulated the participants on the New Year.
