THE UNIVERSITY ANNUAL REPORT WAS APPROVED AT EXTENDED SESSION OF SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL

The  extended  session of  Scientific  Council  was  held  today  at  ASUE  Big  Hall,  which  was  attended  by  the  University  Administration, Deans,  Faculty  staff,  employees,  students.

Koryun Atoyan,  the  Rector  of  the  University,  Doctor  in Economics,  Professor, presented  a  report “The  Results  of  Academic  and  Financial-Economic Activities in 2013  and  the Main  Indexes  of  Budget  Project  in 2014  at Armenian State  University  of  Economics”.

“Respectable  colleagues,  dear  students,

the  report  includes a detailed description of  the  changes undertaken in  University  different  activities  and the   condition  at  the  end  of    the  reporting   year. 

Besides, the  infrastructure,  resource, quality  indicators related to the results  of  educational process, as  well  as a  number  of  projects  are  presented”;  mentioned  the  Rector  and separately  presented  different  areas  of  the  University,  conducted  work,  current  problems,  and  the  ways  to  solve  them.   Kortyun Atoyan  referred  to  management  activities  of  the  University  education,  presented  the  number  of  Faculty staff,  students  and  graduates,  academic progress, transposition, removed, restored and exempt students, problems  regarding  education  quality, picture  of  organizing  students’ experience, educational-methodological  work.

The  Rector  presented the  directions  of  research  and  international activities, public  relations, educational  matters  and  physical education,  referred  to  the  University economic  activity.  The  Rector  summarized the  report  presenting the  performance  of  budget  in 2013  and  the  main  indicators  of  budget  project  in 2014.  The  Head of  the  University  announced  that the employees' salary would be raised by 10 per cent in January. After  Koryun Atoyan’s  report  Ashot  Matevosyan, the  Dean of  the  Department  of  Accounting and  Audit, spoke  and  highly evaluated the  work  conducted  during the  previous  year  by  the  University  Administration  and  said  that they  could  be  considered  even excellent,  not  enough, as  it’s  accepted.

“ I would like to express deep gratitude for positive changes and achievements achieved in the  University, which  are  obvious.  Thank You also for  the chance to  increase  the  salary, which  is  so  important in these  socio-economic  conditions”;  said  the  Dean.  Ashot  Matevosyan  asked  to allocate more  money for grant programs, indicating that this work is  quite effective for the scientific pedagogue.

Ararat  Zakaryan,  the  Head  of  the  Chair  of  Marketing,  Doctor, Professor,  expressed  gratitude  to  the  University  Administration on  behalf  of  the employees,  stressing,  that the  University  slogan “We  are  Changing” matched  with   the  activity.  Ararat  Zakaryan  mentioned  that there was a lack of professional literature  in native language  and  asked the University Administration  to  support  their  publication.

The  Scientific Council unanimously approved the  Results  of  Academic  and  Financial-Economic Activities in 2013  and  the Main  Indexes  of  Budget  Project  in 2014  at Armenian State  University  of  Economics  and  recommended  to  present  the  report  to the  University Council.

The  extended  session  of  scientific Council  was  over.  The  students  and  employees came  out  of  the  Hall, the  Scientific Council  continued  the  session  with  its  main  staff.
