FRANZ STEIDELE VISITED ASUE

International Programs’ Center  at  Armenia  State University  of  Economics  has hosted the "Tempus" ARARAT project’s  co-partners meeting  today:   Franz  Steidele, the  responsible of “Tempus”  programs for  the  South Caucasus region  visited  ASUE  to  review the progress of the works.       

Koryun Atoyan,   ASUE  Rector was  present  at  the  opening  of  the  meeting,  Paruyr  Qalantaryan, the  Vice-Rector  of  Education Methodological Matters,  the  Deans  of  the  Departments,  the  Heads  of  the  Chairs,  project’s  co-partners, Nerses  Gevorgyan ,  the  Head  of  ASUE  Quality Assurance Division, Ruben  Topchyan,  the  Director  of  National  Center  for   Quality Assurance, Susanna  Karakhanyan, the  Director  of  ANQA   Policy  Department,   the  member  of  ARARAT  project’s  management committee  participated  in the  meeting.

Note, ARARAT is a three-year national project aimed at ameliorating the relevance of higher education to ever-changing labor market needs through establishment and operationalization of universities-employers cooperation nexus in Armenia.  Armenian  State  University  of  economics  is  the  coordinator  of  the  project.

Koryun Atoytan,  the  Rector  welcomed  the  participants and  outlined  the  importance  of  the  project  and    especially   mentioned that the program was directly related to improving the quality of education.  The  Rector  wished  success  the  participants  of the project,  and  expressed  gratitude  to Franz  Steidele  for  the consistent  interest in the project.

Susanna  Karakhanyan,  the  member  of  ARARAT  project’s  management committee    presented  an overview of the monitoring results of  Armenian  8 Universities participating  in  the  project, representatives  of  different  organizations (Universities)   acted  with  speeches,  introducing the  working processes.  Many  of  the  participants outlined   the  advantages  of  the  project.

Reviewing  the progress of the works, Franz  Steidele   mentioned that  Armenian State  University  of  Economics had  coordinated  the  project  pretty  well.
