TRAINING SEMINAR IN THE FRAMEWORK OF TEMPUS “ARARAT” PROJECT

Today ASUE Center of Career and Marketing jointly with the Division of Quality  Assurance organized a training seminar at ASUE in the framework of Tempus “Ararat” project. The participants of the seminar were the Vice-Rector on Educational Methodological  Matters Paruyr Kalantaryan, the head of Division of Quality  Assurance, project manager of “Ararat” “University-Employer” Armenian coordinating agency of Tempus Nerses Gevorgyan, the head of Career and Marketing Center Karen Babajanyan, representatives of academic and administrative staff. The project coordinator Nerses Gevorgyan presented the content of “Ararat” project, and emphasized that in honor of ASUE, it is the first time the University became project coordinator. He reflected on the content of  the project underlining that it is intended to foster education-employment link.

Then the head of Career and Marketing Center Karen Babajanyan introduced preliminary outlined steps in the context of “Ararat” project  implementation, particularly clarifying that ASUE Career and Marketing Center will be renamed to the Center of relations with marketing  and labor  market. The latter will strengthen university-employment cooperation, create and permanently replenish the databases of Bachelor Degree’s, MA’s, PhD’s students and graduates that will give the opportunity to feedback faster and more flexible to the requirements of job market and employer. Karen Babajanyan also presented the experience of organizing the careers of students at Palermo University.

The Vice-Rector on Educational Methodological  matters Paruyr Kalantaryan concluded the seminar: “The main purpose of this project is to match the requirements of employers and in that context to correspond the educational programs to employment. We will present a guide on forming educational programs to our Chairs till the end of 2013”.
