“LIBRARY IS THE IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF KNOWLEDGE BASED ECONOMY”: DAY OF LIBRARIAN AT ASUE (photos)

Today, on October 7, is  the  day  of  librarian,  it’s also  celebrated  at  our  University. The  Vice-Rector  of  Science   and   International  Relations  Gagik  Vardanyan congratulated the  employees  of  ASUE  Library.  He  handed  flowers  to  the staff  of  ASUE  Library  and  mentioned  in his  speech  directed to  them,  that the  library  is  the  important component  of  knowledge  based  economy.  The  Vice-Rector  highlighted the  role  of  book  and  stressed, that the  book  remained permanent even  in case  of modern technology and  it  should  be propaganded.

The Director  of  the  Library  Armine  Hovhannisyan presented  their initiated small exhibition,  where new  books  and  editions  were  introduced.   The  Director informed  the  Vice-Rector  about  the passport   of  library fund, which  had  been created  by the initiative  of  the  Library’s  employees  and  where the basic digital information was   fixed.

The  Director  of  ASUE  Library congratulated  her  colleagues; “One  of  the  world’s ancient professions in our  society  got  its  official “registration”:  October 7 is  celebrated  as  a professional  holiday  of  library  employees”; he  said.

The former  Director  of  ASUE  Library  Venera  Avalyan  also was  present  and  congratulated  the  employees.
