ASUE STUDENT COUNCIL AS THE BEST STUDENT SELF-GOVERNMENT BODY: HAYKYAN AWARD CEREMONY TOOK PLACE

Respectable  visitors,   dear  members  of  ASUE,   we  are  glad to  inform  that  Haykyan  10th   award  ceremony  took  place  yesterday  at  State  Theatre  of  Song,   during  which  the  Student  Council  of  our University  became  the  winner  of  the  nomination  "The  best  student  self-government  body".

As  the  official  website of  Armenian Youth  Foundation   informs  that  during the  award  ceremony  which was  attended  by  the  RA  President  Serj Sargsyan,  the  best  student  and  youth  structures,   best  youth  projects  got  prizes.

The  coordinator  of  the   Board of Trustees  of the  Foundation Karen  Avagyan  mentioned  that  the  goal of the   initiative  is  to  encourage  all   those  young  organizations,  which   are  active  with  their  program content and the number of programs   during  a  year.

The  nominations  were  as  follows:  "The  best  student self-government  body"  the  Student  Council of Armenian State  University of  Economics,  "The  best  youth academic achievement"  Armen  Sargsyan.   "Original youth project"  Student  Council of   Yerevan State  University of  Architecture  and Construction.  "Patriotic best project"  "Hayots  Artsivner" patriotic  NGO.  "The  Best  Interuniversity  project "  project  implemented  by  the  Student  Council of  Yerevan  State  Linguistic University.  "The  best  youth  NGO  in Yerevan"  ARMAKAD.  "The  best  youth NGO  in region"   "DavitBekyan  Ukht" NGO.   "The  best  youth  international  project"    "Public lectures  of   Nobel Prize winners"  project.

Four  special  award  were  handed  by the RA  President:   "Konrad Adenauer" Foundation  in the  nomination "International  organization  which  maximum supported   youth  area",  Armenian  State  Youth  Orchestra  "Organization which best   presented  cultural  values among the  youth",   "ARARAT"  spiritual union  of  Ararat Patriarchal Diocese  "Religious education programs  among  youth"  and   Student  Parliament  of Erevan State  Medical  University  "Structure stand in the bases of organizing student movement in the RA".

At the  end of  award  ceremony  the  President  thanked  the  organizers,  congratulated  all  winners  and  highlighted   this  initiative,  wishing  future  success.  The Head of the  Republic  urged  the  young  people  to  use  their  time  effectively,   to  maintain an active lifestyle  and   to  try  to  be  useful  to  our  sociaty  and   state by  their   activity.

The  President  of  ASUE  Student  Council  told  ASUE  Media  and Public Relations  Division  that  this  award  ceremony  had  a  great authority  among  the  students,  and  it's  already  the  second  year  that our  Student  Council  won  this  nomination.

"This is  the best  assessment  of  our  students'  activities  and  public work.  At  the  same  time  it's so  binding  as  it's  easier  to  reach  success  than  to  keep   this  success  and  go ahead.  I  am  sure  that    each  student of the University  has  his/her  direct and  indirect  investment  in this  important  victory.  As a  President  of the SC,  I'm just proud of our students"  mentioned  the  SC  President.
