SCIENTIFIC SESSION ON "PROBLEMS OF INCREASING THE COMPETETIVNESS OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY" TOPIC WILL LAUNCH AT ASUE TODAY

The  22nd scientific session  on   "Problems of  increasing the competitiveness of the national economy"  topic  launched  at Armenian State  University  of  Economics  today.

The  RA  Prime  Minister  Tigran  Sargsyan,  the  Minister of   the  RA Economy  Tigran  Davtyan,  the 1st  Deputy of  the  Minister of Economy  Karine  Minasyan,  the  Deputy  of  the  Minister  of  Finance  Vardan  Aramyan  the first  Deputy of  the  President  of  Central  Bank  Nerses  Yeritsyan,  the  President  of  the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers)  Arsen  Ghazaryan,  the  Heads and  representatives of  State  Goverment  Bodies,  the  Heads  and  representatives  of  the  RA  Universities  participated  in the  session.  

ASUE Rector,  Doctor  of Economics,  Professor  Koryun  Atoyan  mentioned in the  opening  speech: "Scientific  sessions  spent  in the University  is  unique experimental platform  for  discussing   urgent problems  of  Armenia and World economy.The  representatives  of  the  State Government  Bodies,  political and business sphere,  the  scientific-pedagogical staff  of the  University and , of  course,  our  colleagues  from other  universities are  traditionally  gathered  here.The  goal of the  University’s Scientific Session  is   the  joint presentation  of  the  results  of  scientific-research  works  done  during  one  year  and  the  indication  of  future researches’ directions".

The  Rectored  informs  the   presents  that  the session  will  be  spent  with  full  program, it will  include  discussions  devoted to  the  development of   new  policy,  financial  markets  and  development of  sub structures,  development of  social-economical  priorities, which are  important    for  increasing  the  competitiveness of the country’s economy.  The  Rector  thanked  the Prime  Minister  for  th e participation  in the Sesion  and  wished  effective  and   fruitful   work  to  the  three-day  scientific  session.  The  whole  speech of  the  Rector  is  poted  in the  official  website  of  ASUE  (www.asue.am).

The  RA  Prime  Minister, welcoming  the  participants  of the  Session on the  behalf  of  the  RA  Government,  mentioned that he  would  present  the  logic, directions  of reforms,  implemented  by  the  Government  for   stimulating  discussions  and  debates,  awaiting  that  those  directions  would  be  enriched  by the  participants  of the  Session,  and  some  topics  would  become  a  subject  of  study.

"To  be  competitive  depands  on the  level of education.  The  Universities,  being  serious  research  centers,  should  provide  the  conection  between   science and industry.  All  lecturers  should  certainly  be engaged in science,  it is proved by the experience of the world.  The  Universities should serve as the basis of society  and  our steps  are  directed  to  implement  this  goal", said Tigran  Sargsyan, persuading  the  participants to  have  scientific, research  investment  in the  mentioned  process,  to be  included in  working  groups  and  assured  that  these steps  would  be  encouraged  both  by  the  State  and  private sector.

 The  President  of  the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers)  Arsen  Ghazaryan  welcomed  the  works  of  the  Session. 

The  Rector  of  Armenian-Russian (Slavonic)  University  Armen Darbinyan  started  the first  plenary  session  of the Scientific  Session  with  a  report on  "Armanian  model  of Competitiveness" topic.

Then  the Dean of the  Department of Economics  at  YSU  Hayk  Sargsyan  had a  report  on  "The   improvement of the  RA economic structure   as a major challenge  of the  competition" topic.

 The  first  Deputy of the RA  CB  Nerses  Yeritsyan  presented  "Prospects for development of knowledge-based economy"  topic.

The  Vice-Rector  of  ASUE  Scientific  and  International  Relations  Gagik  Vardanyan  acted  with  a  report  on  "Technological changes  and   long waves  of knowledge accumulation"  topic. 

The  22nd  Scientific Session  continues  its  works  in  compartments.  The  Scientific  Session will be summarized on November 19.
