THE TEAM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING AND AUDIT WON IN CHESS INTERDEPARTMENT TOURNAMENT (PHOTOS)
Chess interdepartment tournament started today at the foyer of ASUE main building. Levon Samvelyan the Head of the Chair of Physical Training, the chief referee of Interdepartment sport championships, welcomed the participants and wished success. Lyudmila Hovhannisyan, the referee of chess tournament, presented the rules of tournament to the participants and urged not to break them.
The game began at 13:00a.m., ASUE Rector Koryun Atoyan came and encouraged the participants with his presance. In the reselut of interesting games the team of the Department of Accounting and Audit (Hovhannes Arzumanyan, the 1st course Master of Audit specialty, Minas Maghaqyan, the 3rd course student of Accounting according to branches specialty, Minas Kapukchyan, the 1st course student of Accounting according to branches specialty, Ani Baghoyan, the 4th course student of Accounting according to branches specialty) won the first place and became the winner with 9 points.
“We congratulate both the chess players and the Head of the Department. The latter was next to his team from beginning to end of the tournamnet, encouraged and supported the students with his presance. Sure, it had a great importance in achieving victories”, said Levon Samvelyan while speaking with ASUE Media and Public Relations Division.
There was a surprise for the winning team after the end of tournament: they had an opportunity to play with Levon Babujyan, the winner of a number of international tournaments, Gross mayster.
“It seemed to me that I was playing with professional chess players. I am delighted with the game of Hovhannes Arzumanyan and Ani Baghoyan”, said Gross mayster.
Ashot Matevosyan, the Head of the Deapartment, congratulated the winning team and thanked for an excellent game: gifting books.
The team of the Department of Computer Science and Statistics won the 2nd place, the team of Department of Marketing and Business Management won the 3rd place.
The tournament of ping-pong will start tomorrow, at 14:00a.m..
